Privacy & cookie policy
What we collect on this site, why we collect it, and how to get it removed.
Who we are
This site is operated by Brave New Media (“we”, “us”), a trading name of Sarron Creative Media SRL, a company registered in Romania (fiscal code 38681961). We work from Bucharest, Sector 2, Romania and Marasi Drive, UAE.
Sarron Creative Media SRL is the data controller for the personal data described below. For anything about your data, write to anne@brave-new.com.
What we collect, and when
We collect personal data in exactly three places. Nowhere else on this site asks you for anything.
1. The contact form
If you use the form on the contact page we receive your name, email address, company and message. We use it to reply to you. Submissions are handled by Netlify Forms and emailed to us; they are not added to any mailing list, and we do not use them for marketing unless you separately subscribe.
2. The audit request form
If you request an audit we receive your name, email address, company, website, category and your description of your position. We use it to prepare the audit and to reply. Same handling as above: Netlify Forms, emailed to us, not added to a list.
3. The Journal signup
If you subscribe to The Brave New Business Journal we receive your email address and store it with our email provider, MailerLite, together with the time you subscribed and the IP address the request came from. We keep those two so we can show when and from where consent was given if it is ever questioned. We use the address to send the Journal and nothing else: no other list, no sharing, no advertising. Every issue carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing is immediate.
MailerLite also records whether you open an issue and which links you follow, which is how we know which pieces are worth writing more of. Every link carries campaign tags for the same reason. If you would rather not be measured, most email clients can block the tracking pixel by declining to load remote images, and unsubscribing ends all of it.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no analytics or marketing cookies until you accept them. The cookie banner appears on your first visit; nothing beyond a single cookie recording your own choice is set before you answer it, and you can change or withdraw that choice at any time from the banner.
If you accept the analytics category, we load:
- Google Analytics 4, to see which pages are read and how people arrive. IP addresses are anonymised.
- Microsoft Clarity, which records how pages are used: scrolling, clicks and heatmaps. It can capture a recording of your session on this site. It does not capture what you type into form fields.
Both are third parties with their own privacy policies. Declining costs you nothing: the site works identically either way.
Who else sees your data
- Netlify hosts this site and processes form submissions.
- MailerLite stores the Journal mailing list and sends the newsletter.
- Google and Microsoft, only if you accept analytics cookies.
We do not sell, rent or share your details with anyone else.
How long we keep it
Form submissions are kept while they are useful to the enquiry and then deleted. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to anne@brave-new.com and we will respond within one month. You can also complain to your national data protection authority.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be flagged on the site.
